The Six Healing Sounds

This meditation will help you learn to reduce the stress on your body through the use of specific arm movements and sound vibrations, helping you to cleanse and detoxify the organs. Learning to reduce the stress on your body will provide you with more energy during the day and a sounder sleep throughout the night.

The Inner Smile
This practice is the prelude to every Healing Tao meditation because it allows you to achieve deep relaxation in a very short time.

The Microcosmic Orbit Meditation
This meditation is the foundation of the Healing Tao system. When you have learned the Microcosmic Orbit Meditation, you will be able to move energy up your spine and down the front of your body. With repeated practice, you'll begin to experience your own self-healing power, circulating your life-force energy freely through these two channels. You will also learn Chi Self-Massage, which is rejuvenating and invigorating to the face, organs, and glands.

Successful completion of The Microcosmic Orbit Class is a prerequisite for Healing Love, Iron Shirt, and other Chi Nei Tsang courses.

The Universal Healing Tao Foundation practices open the door for us and are a prerequisite to safely learn and use the Healing Love Practice.

Here we learn to cultivate the Energy from the lower Center (Sexual Center) and to raise it to the higher center (Spiritual Center). The Healing Love practice will enable us to harness our most potent and powerful energy, our Sexual Energy. This energy normally lies dormant because we don’t realize it exists or we are too scared to explore it. In this practice you will learn to open it gradually and with safety and then to harness it, allowing us to have the energy to live our life’s potential to the fullest.

Iron Shirt Chi Kung

There are Six Standing Meditation Postures in the Iron Shirt Chi Kung and they are designed to help us build strong physical and internal structures by helping our bones and spine grow stronger; the Iron Shirt exercises help us stay young because they send chi/energy to our bones and tendons.

By practicing Iron Shirt Chi Kung you will find that you are able to establish healthy space and boundary effortless as this practice will set up automatically a chi/energy space and boundary for you.

Who can Benefit From This Practice? “Iron Shirt Chi Kung was once a Martial Art. Now the practice that strengthens the Internal Organs, Roots Oneself, and Unifies Physical, Mental and Spiritual Health” As humans we all need more strength, endurance and Energy to live to be our best selves every moment. It is particularly appropriate Chi Kung Meditation Exercise for those practicing Martial Arts.

This standing Chi Kung meditation teaches principles that will help you to become well-rooted and grounded to the nurturing energy of the Earth as you continue your spiritual journey. Performing this meditation daily for five to ten minutes will increase the energy available to you.

The pre-requisite for taking the Iron Shirt Training is the Tao Basic Foundation Class; Inner Smile, Healing Sounds and Microcosmic Orbit, as you will run the energy through the Microcosmic Orbit.

Master Chia selected the six postures that form the basis of Iron Shirt Chi Kung I for their rapid benefits to the organs, tendons and bones. These exercises are sometimes referred to as "internal aerobics," since they increase the flow of blood and oxygen to the cells without increasing stress on the heart. They were originally intended to help martial artists create an inner armor to protect their internal organs from injury.

The practice of Iron Shirt Chi Kung helps maintain the body’s internal pressure. A healthy internal pressure gives shape to the body, for instance depression collapses the shape of the individual’s body and he or she will appear to be slumped over and you may see this also in his or her facial expression; or with someone who is very angry the way the body is held rigid and perhaps controlled, ready to explode.  These are two examples of disturbed internal pressure.

According to Ancient Taoist Masters the body needs to maintain a 14.7 pounds per square inch pressure for us to enjoy good health and mental and emotional well-being.

The three layers of fasciae around the body cavity that contains our organs must attain/maintain this 14.7 pounds per square inch in order for us to be well and healthy.  When this pressure is lost, we become sick.  Breathing helps maintain this pressure; when we inhale longer the pressure increases.  Iron Shirt Chi Kung postures promote a healthy internal pressure to improve and maintain health and well-being.  Generally speaking, the chi pressure of young or healthy people is higher and when we get sick we lose this pressure; so when we are able to increase this internal pressure we recover the health of the individual.

Iron Shirt Chi Kung helps us build a strong inner structure. When we do the different postures of Iron Shirt we can actually bring back a healthy pressure to our internal organs, our brain and also to our sexual organs.  A healthy pressure is required for our heart, organs and brain to function in a healthy fashion.

Iron Shirt Chi Kung does have a martial arts application, but our goal in learning this practice is to help us circulate and contain our chi efficiently. This will enable us to enjoy better health and wellbeing; giving us the freedom to choose to use this energy for spiritual practices to help us feel more grounded, present and available.

Spring 2018

Fusion of the Five Elements is the beginning of Inner Alchemy, utilizing our felt sense to manage the energies of our inner universe so that we may connect to the tremendous energy of the universe beyond the body. We may use this energy for self healing, day-to-day living and for attaining spiritual goals.

The Fusion meditation enables us to manage the generation and flow of emotional, mental and physical energies within our body. The practice teaches us how to locate and dissolve the negative energies hidden inside our body.

The Taoist Five Element Theory, helps us to connect to the five outer senses eyes, tongue, mouth, nose, ears - and the Five major emotions - anger, hate, worry, sadness, and fear. Once the negative emotion is identified with the organ it is stored in, it can be managed and transformed using the Fusion meditation.    Negative emotions are neither suppressed nor expressed instead they are fodder for increasing our energy levels. So  negative energy is brought to specific points in the body where it is easily neutralized, purified, and then transformed back into our original creative energy.

The great secret of crystallizing and storing our original transformed energy in a mysterious pearl is revealed for the first time in the Fusion alchemical formula. This pearl is the essence of our life force energy, or Chi. It is central to nourishing the physical body, and later to nourishing the soul, or energy body. In more advanced Fusion practice, our soul/energy body becomes very manageable and its power can be balanced, strengthened and expanded to connect with the essence of the Earth and Star energies.

The Fusion of 'the Five Elements practice is the essential first step toward complete emotional and spiritual development.

Fusion of the Five Elements I
The student learns to transform negative emotions into positive energy. In this practice of internal alchemy, the student learns to transform the negative emotions of worry, sadness, cruelty, anger, and fear into pure, positive energy. This process is accomplished by identifying the source of the negative emotions within the five organs of the body. Once the excessive energy of the emotions is filtered out of the organs, a state of psycho-physical balance is restored. Freed of negative emotions, the pure energy of the five organs is crystallized into a radiant pearl or crystal ball. The pearl is circulated in the body and attracts to itself energy from external sources - universal energy, cosmic particle energy, and earth energy. The pearl plays a central role in the development and nourishment of the soul or energy body. The energy body is then nourished with the pure (virtue) energy of the five organs.

Students at this level learn to help their clients release deep-seated emotional charges safely. They will learn to see the relationship between the Five Elements and Emotions and be able to apply the Taoist concept for the Psychology of Healing, and will gain an understanding of how the Five Elements and the Psychology of Healing are interconnected. With this expertise, they will be able to guide their clients to release these emotional charges safely and confidently.

Students will further learn the different kinds of touch ("peace" and "power") that elicit different healing responses. This allows them to connect with clients in meaningful ways to facilitate the feeling of safety while going through the emotional release process.
