Khadro's Teachers

Lama Zopa Rinpoche
Khadro met Kyabje Zopa Rinpoche about ten years ago quite serendipitously at the Land of Medicine of Buddha. Lama Zopa immediately recognized Khadro as a woman from the Himalayas. He has encouraged her to continue and stay on her "homeward" path back to her roots of tradition and lineage. Khadro's connection with Lama Zopa has been a happy one. Under Lama Zopa's guidance, she continues to grow and integrate more of the Buddhist tradition in her work.

Kyabje Zopa Rinpoche, recognized and trained as a reincarnate Tibetan Buddhist Lama, is devoted to the worldwide transmission of the Mahayana Buddhism through teaching, meditation, and community service. His work is inspired by the attitude of universal responsibility through which people's minds and hearts can be transformed into their highest potential of infinite wisdom and compassion. He is the Spiritual Director of the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT).

Master Mantak Chia Khadro met Master Mantak Chia about 18 years ago through his book on Chi Nei Tsang. Having been diagnosed with endometriosis by an allopathic doctor who recommended a complete hysterectomy, Khadro sought an alternative to this invasive treatment. A few years later, she met Master Chia at his retreat in upstate New York.

Khadro's relationship with Master Chia is positive and nurturing. As with all his students, he gives her great latitude to learn and to integrate that learning and the permission to become the best practitioner she can be.

Master Mantak Chia teaches the many ancient Chinese meditative and internal energy practices transmitted to him by masters and teachers throughout Asia. He sincerely wishes that all people have the opportunity to complete the harmonious evolution of body, mind, and spirit. Through self-healing, the healer is born. By opening and connecting to the sources of energy in Nature and the Universe, boundless healing power becomes available for the benefit of all.
